If you have invested in a costly HVAC system that seems to no longer be blowing cold air, then you have an issue. Having a properly functioning HVAC system that is able to blow cold air, especially now in the summer, is essential to staying cool and comfortable in your home this season. Therefore, if your air conditioner is no longer producing cold air, then we have some tips for you on what to do going forward.
What to do if your HVAC system is not blowing cold air
- Try cleaning the filter and coils to see if the cold air comes out when airflow is improved
- Run the system with just the fan on to see if there is a build-up of ice (the fan will melt it)
- Refrigerant levels could be too low, which is usually caused by a leak somewhere in the HVAC system
You can try fixing your own HVAC system with the above tips, but if you’re really unsure about the cause of the problem and you don’t feel comfortable fixing it on your own, please do not hesitate to contact us! We would be more than happy to help get your HVAC system back up and running.
