It may be hard to believe, but we are two months away from summer— from sweaty, sweltering summer.
Some are lucky enough to live in areas where past summer temperatures never rose to numbers that compelled them to install an airconditioning system. But as we all know, that luck is quickly changing.
Scientists around the world are warning us every day at the rate climate change is affecting weather and natural disasters globally. They don’t have to tell us twice.
If you’ve noticed that your summers are getting hotter, stickier, and all-around more unbearable, you can nod your head toward climate change as the culprit. (Yes, of course, we know that we—humanity as a whole— are the real culprits of the culprit, but that’s beside the point we want to make here).
You may be inclined to brush off these recently extreme summers and hold out hope that the more moderately-tempered summers you used to know will come back, and you won’t have to buy your house an AC after all.
Well, we hate to be the bearers of bad news, but… Our summers are projected to get much worse over the course of our lifetimes. We know you don’t want to be sticky and sweaty in what’s supposed to be the comfort of your own home.
So that is why you should preemptively install an AC system this summer. Your family with thank you now, and we’ll let you thank us later.
